Holmwood’s and Dünya Education join forces in Turkey

After founding a new Holmwood’s branch in Istanbul in 2015, Holmwood’s has now signed a contract with Dünya Education, one of the main educational suppliers in Turkey. Dünya Education is a part of Dünya Aktüel, a publishing house which is known for the newspaper of the same name – the Financial Times of Turkey – and several other Turkish magazines. The company has over 500 employees.

Experience in language learning and education

Dünya has been selling educational supplies and language courses – e.g. Cambridge (UK) and Cornelsen (DE) since 1984. Dünya Education supplies educational materials to prestigious private schools, such as Robert College, Koç High Schools, Bilim, Mektebim Schools and others. Besides the main office, which is located in Istanbul, Dünya Education has regional offices in Izmir, Antalya, Ankara and Adana, and a huge network of local agents.

The increasing demand for online educational materials caused Dünya Education to look for a partner with knowledge and experience in online language learning. This has resulted in their choice for Holmwood’s. Of course, we are very proud of this.

After a number of meetings and negotiations, we signed the contract during BETT 2016 in London.
